Style should not be painful, only comfortable.
Happy Spring! I cannot get over this weather! I love this season and the best part is that I only have three weeks until graduation. With my ongoing senioritis, I always want to come to school in sweat pants but I don’t want to sacrifice my style in the process. I teamed up with Maggie Jay Clothing to bring you this blog post about how you can find comfortable pieces while still keeping your fashion sense.
I love to be comfortable. The moment I come home, I would change into sweats or leggings but I couldn’t do this at school or in the professional atmosphere. I craved to come home to relax and let go. Whenever I buy an article of clothing, I think three things:
- Does it catch my attention?
- How many things can I pair it with?
- Will I be comfortable?
Did it catch my attention?
I was talking to a friend today about shopping. Typically, I walk into a store or browse stores online and within 5-10 minutes I always know if I’m going to buy something or not. I learned that if you aren’t drawn to it in the store, clothes will become lost in closets and drawers. It’s a waste of time and money to buy clothes that you aren’t in love with and excited to wear everyday. I know it sounds silly but if you look good, you feel good.
How many pieces can I pair it with?
This is crucial! Versatile clothing helps create exponential combinations compared to that one outfit with crazy patterns that matches only one pair of shoes. Solids and minimal patterns are my go-to’s so I can mix and match for my day to day look.
Will I be comfortable?
This is the most important part in my opinion. I have found that if I am not comfortable, I will avoid wearing certain things. Finding comfort and style in the same piece will utilize your wardrobe to your advantage. Being able to dress things up and down will be the best way to get more out of your money’s worth.
I found all of these qualities in the clothing I received from Maggie Jay Clothing. I was introduced to the website in my early blogging days and I was immediately drawn to the colors, patterns and styles. When I received my package, I became even happier because the pieces have very flattering shapes and the fabrics are so soft. I have worn this red peplum probably three times in the past week. No joke! They are so easy to dress up and down for every occasion.
