Lipstick for the On-The-Go Girl.
I’m rushing to try to finish all my last-minute projects before graduation and then I will never have to do school again. YAY! I am an on-the-go girl so finding beauty hacks to make my routine easier is the best. Lipstick is an accessory to express your personality. Sometimes that “personality” ends up in your teeth but I have a solution: all-day lipstick!
I talked with Coral Reef Swim about how they are including Lipsense by SeneGence into their inventory. They offered to let me have a try. How could I refuse? I honestly was skeptical that it would work but I was surprised with the result. I wore it a couple times and I have compiled some tips and tricks to how this all works including my honest review of all-day lipstick.
Getting Started
The starter kit came with color, gloss, and OOPS remover to get it off at the end of the day or if you make a mistake. I will admit it took some time getting used to. The instructions say to put on three coats of the color from one side of the lips to the other without going back and forth. Take 3-5 seconds in between coats to allow it to dry and not smear around. I would put more or less depending on how dark you would like the color to be. An important tip is to not let your lips touch when the color is wet or it will come off in spots.
Applying and Removing
After the color comes the gloss. It took a long time for the gloss to dry but it eventually does. Lipsense claims to be smudge-proof and kiss-proof and it totally is. However, not until about an hour after application does it completely dry from my experience. Taking it off is a little difficult, but just put some remover on a couple times and wipe it off with a tissue. It should come off in a few tries.
I wore it to school all day long my first time. It never came off on my water bottle or when I was eating lunch. I even kissed Taz before leaving home and it didn’t come off which is a win for me! He doesn’t like the stickiness of lipstick on his face. I realized this product would be perfect for a wedding since you don’t want lipstick all over your new husband’s face, a job interview so you can avoid having lipstick on your teeth or even just everyday wear like me.
In conclusion, my experience with Lipsense is definitely a positive one. I will probably still use my other lipsticks that do not last all day but I am happy to have found an option to use when I need my lipstick to stay perfectly polished all day long. The color I have is called “Bella” and I provided a link to it below. Let me know what you think or if you have any other questions about Lipsense!
