The secret to thick, luscious locks!
Hey guys! This week for my Friday Faves, I put together some of my absolute favorite products and tricks that give hair volume and lift than anything else I’ve ever used. (and I’ve tried A LOT of things over the course of my life) I had this requested to me multiple times so here it is:
I learned that curling hair away from the face helps it look fuller than it actually is which is true…BUT alternating curls works even better. This is so the curls don’t blend together into one big curl. Switch each direction when going around the head and it will give you the appearance of thicker, fuller hair.
Another way is to lift hair from the root when styling versus lower on the section. When the root is lifted up and away from the face, it creates more texture and hair volume than regular styling techniques.
I recently cut 8 inches off my hair (SURPRISE!) and my hair stylist used Amika Texturizing Spray on it when she finished styling. You guys, it’s INCREDIBLE! It doesn’t leave hair feeling sticky or crunchy, but it gives the perfect undone look that I love.
Beach Wave Spray
The majority of wave sprays have tons of salt and other chemicals that causes hair to dry out and feel off. The best part about this spray from Kristen Ess is that it doesn’t do that. It adds the perfect amount of wave and texture that brings body and volume better than other heavier products I’ve used in the past.
Those are my secrets to getting more hair volume and texture to my everyday looks. Are there any haircare products that are tried and true for you? Leave me some suggestions in the comments so I can try them out. Thanks for all the love!
