Having self-love is one of the most important things you can do.
In today’s world, it is hard to find self-confidence. Everyone on social media seems like their life is in order, their house is clean, they have no problems, right? Wrong! I’ve never met someone who doesn’t have some kind of insecurity. It’s so easy to compare yourself to other people instead of focusing on the good things going on in your life. I am definitely one of those people that need to work on this. I have been thinking about it for a long time now and I wanted to share my journey with self-love.
A girl made a comment in church that has stuck with me. She talked about how when we judge other people, it is a reflection on how we feel about ourselves so when we love ourselves, it will manifest itself in how we see others. This is incredible! It never occurred to me that was how our minds work.
Self-love can help us become more positive and see the light in others. It seems like everyone becomes offended at every little thing nowadays but if we were confident in our words and actions in a loving way, I don’t think it would happen as often if at all. Be confident! Be as bold as your lipstick!
My Experience
I am guilty of taking things too personally and I worry about everything! I have been working on self-love as one of my goals lately. The thing is if you have self-love and realize that you are doing the best you possibly can, there is no reason to get upset or worried about something you cannot control. Your opinion of yourself is the only one that matters so you might as well make it a good one. Write down three good things that happen that day. Plan goals for yourself and create steps to achieve them. Focus on the good rather than the bad and it will make a world of difference in your attitude and your life.
These clutches from 42 and Pine are a nice reminder to me about being bold and confident in everything that I do. You can get your own for 20% off using the code KAYLA20 which will work until July 14th. Be bold. Be confident and be you.
