I put together some of my favorite Halloween costume ideas from clothing you ALREADY have!
From these Halloween costume ideas, I thought that majority of people have a striped shirt in their closet. That was my inspiration behind these ideas and I wanted to share my favorite ones that are the easiest to do. If you don’t have a large budget or are on a time crunch, these Halloween costume ideas work for any age and honestly most of them work for men or women. Every costume begins with a striped shirt and a pair of jeans.
#1 Robber
This is the easiest one out of all of my last minute Halloween costume ideas! Throw on a beanie and grab a pillowcase to keep all your finds while you go trick-or-treating. If you happen to have an old black eye mask, cut out some eye holes and add it to bring your costume to the next level.
#2 Pirate
Dressing as a pirate is one of the fastest Halloween costume ideas. I wore my bandana around my head and put on a red costume vest I found at my parent’s house but most regular vests will work. I didn’t have any plastic swords but if you have one of those or a hook, you’re set! Be as elaborate or simple as you’d like.
#3 Gondolier
I spent some time in Italy three years ago and I couldn’t not have a gondolier costume. When I went to Venice, every gondolier wore this costume and it was too cute! I ordered a straw hat from Amazon and then tied my bandana around my neck.
#4 French Person
This costume is very similar to the gondolier except you trade out the straw hat for a beret. Walk around with a baguette or an artist’s palette and you are set!
