These date ideas are little to no cost so make sure to add them to your bucket list this fall!
Fall is my favorite time of year to go on dates! There seems to be so much to do and you’re not in the sweltering heat (unless you live in Florida like I do!) Taz and I loved so many of these date ideas over the years and I added a couple of them from our list this year.
#1 Go to a Pumpkin Patch
I spent one morning researching different pumpkin patches in our area because there aren’t any compared to Utah. Thankfully, I found a cute one at a local church and we loved looking at all their pumpkins and picking one out to bring home.

#2 Carve Pumpkins
I’m not the best at carving pumpkins so that’s usually Taz’s job but you could both pick out a pumpkin and carve them together. This can get super messy but also a lot of fun!

#3 Pumpkin Painting
If you want to avoid the mess, you can paint pumpkins instead! This is usually what I prefer and you can bring it to the next level by attempting to paint it blindfolded!

Our pumpkin paintings right after we got married. Taz is VERY into Star Wars!
#4 Fall Feast
Invite a few other couples over and have each one bring their favorite fall dish to share. Everyone can taste a new dish and play games to end the night.
#5 Pumpkin Bake Off
You can make the fall feast sweet by hosting a pumpkin bake off! Everyone bakes their favorite pumpkin treat to share. My favorites are pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and pumpkin ice cream squares!
#5 Corn Maze
There aren’t any corn mazes in Florida, but we went to a bunch when we lived in Utah. Go on a double date and try to beat the other couple to the end. Make sure to find the maps or else you will definitely get lost like we did haha.

I “roped” Taz into going with me to McCoard’s Corn Maze in Provo, UT
#6 Go to the Fair
It’s usually this time of year where the local fair comes into town. I’ve always loved going out to go play games, listen to a couple concerts, and ride the ferris wheel.
#7 Go Camping
It’s that time of year where it’s FINALLY cooling off! Pack up the car and go off for a weekend away camping.
# 8 Have a Bonfire & Smores Bar
Gather a few couples together for a bonfire and make a table with all your favorite fixings for smores. My roommates and I did this a couple years ago and had the best time!
#9 Build a Fort
This is one of my favorite date ideas! If it’s too cold or you want a lazy night in, build a fort in your living room filled with blankets and pillows. Play some card games or turn on your favorite movie.
#10 Watch a Scary Movie Under the Stars
If you want to be adventurous, download a scary movie, lay out a blanket and watch it under the stars. Don’t forget to pack the snacks!
#11 Do a Fun Fall Photoshoot
Taz is usually behind the camera with our photography business, but I love when we can take photos together to document our memories. Take some pictures in some leaves or a pumpkin patch to show off your fall adventures.

#12 Have a Picnic
I love to pack up a lunch, lay out a blanket and spend some quality time together in the cooler weather. We love to go down by the water or to our local park.
#13 Bake a Fall Dessert
Find a recipe on Pinterest and try a new fall dessert or roll out the dough of your favorite sugar cookie recipe and decorate cookies all night.
#14 Go on a Walk
This is one of the only times Taz and I get quality time without any distractions. Leave your phone at home and enjoy your evening stroll.
#15 Have a Caramel Apple Bar
This is another of my favorite date ideas for fall! Invite some friends over and have a build your own caramel apple bar. Everyone gets to dip their own apple and add their favorite toppings. I love putting marshmallows or chocolate chips on it but there’s so many other options too!
#16 Go on a Drive
I used to love going on a drive to see the fallen leaves but there isn’t any of that in Florida, but it is a great time to roll the windows down since the weather has finally cooled down.
#17 Go to a Farmer’s Market
This is one of my favorite date ideas to do during fall. Farmer’s Markets are finally open during this time of year and we love to go down to one on Saturday mornings. Go to test all of the yummy food and see what interesting things you can find.
Those are my favorite fall date night ideas! I know Taz and I have some of the best memories from checking these ideas off our list. Let me know which ones you end up doing and tag me (@kaylajfsmith) so I can see all your fun adventures! If you need an outfit to go on one of these adorable date nights, I have a couple of ideas here.
