My favorite things in life make me who I am today!

Happy Friday! I decided to start a new series on my blog called “Friday Favorites!” Every Friday, I hope to share all my favorite things with you guys so you can get to know me better. I will share everything from fitness to recipes so if there’s anything you want to know, comment your suggestions at the end of this blog post. This week, I wanted to share my favorite things in life that make me who I am and give a quick intro all about me so you know who you’re reading from 😉

Favorite Place: The Beach

It doesn’t matter where in the world it is. If it has a beach, I want to go there! I’ve loved the ocean and the water as long as I can remember. I always look forward to going on warm vacations or on quick trips home to Florida so I can go to the beach.

Favorite Food: Pizza and French Fries

I know I have the diet of a 7 year-old, but they’re so good! Tell me all your favorite hole-in-the-wall pizza joints and we will be friends for life.

Favorite Restaurant: Chick-fil-A and Oregano

Neither one of these have pizza and only one has french fries, but a girl can branch out a little, right? I got my first job at Chick-fil-A in high school and it is one of the only fast food restaurants that I can eat at without feeling miserably sick. Taz and I discovered Oregano over the summer. It has some of the best authentic Italian food with MASSIVE portions! We love to go there because we have dinner AND lunch for the next day.

Favorite Thing to Do: Date Nights + Traveling

My love language is quality time so I love when Taz and I get a chance to go out and do something. Thankfully, we are around each other a lot, but I know that may not always be the case once we get further along in jobs and life in general. I will soak it in as much as I can, but we promised to schedule at least one a month. Traveling is also one of my favorite things because I get to try/do new things. Once upon a time, I did a study abroad/backpacking trip in Europe for almost three months! I went all over and there’s a TON I would change, but I loved seeing all the cool places. I was so happy we got to go to Arizona this Christmas break. It’s fun going out of state for a change of scenery.

Favorite Movie: When In Rome

I’m a total sucker for goofy, romantic comedies! This movie is silly, but oh so cute! (Plus, it has Josh Duhamel who is a TOTAL dreamboat)

Favorite Book/Series: Present over Perfect and The Selection

I have the same taste in books as I do in movies…but I do love self help books too! My favorite book is Present Over Perfect, because it is so uplifting and relatable for me. This is a more serious book, but my favorite series is definitely The Selection. I have a mission in life to convert everyone into reading this series, because it is so good! It’s a perfect mix of The Hunger Games and The Bachelor so it’s a definitely chick flick type series. Let me know if you end up loving it, and if you don’t, we can’t be friends…(only joking!)

Favorite TV Show: Downton Abbey, Friends, Sherlock, White Collar, etc.

This was hard for me because I like so many different genres of TV shows. I don’t have an exact favorite, but I have watched Downton Abbey 3-4 times and the same with Friends. I fell in love with Sherlock this summer and with White Collar. My secret guilty pleasure is Gossip Girl so I guess we can add that to the list, but if you ever bring it up in public I WILL deny it 😉 Here’s a list of some of my other favorites: Fixer Upper, Chopped, Firefly, How I Met Your Mother, Limitless, Say Yes to the Dress

Favorite Color: Gray

Hear me out! I know this is a lame color since it really isn’t a color, but my family always jokes that it’s my favorite. I only wear white, black, gray, mauve and burgundy. I’ve recently introduced rust, but that’s pretty much it. Now that I told you, you’ll notice it. I’ve always loved the color gray because it reminds me of the ocean in the morning or a thunderstorm. I also really like the color blush because it’s the color of my wedding dress too.

Favorite Song/Soundtrack: What About Us by P!NK and The Greatest Showman Soundtrack

I couldn’t pick one favorite song, but these are the things I’ve been listening to the most lately. I’m obsessed with What About Us and listen to it on repeat for the past month UNTIL The Greatest Showman came out. I couldn’t be more surprised on how incredible that movie was and the music is outstanding! It has a really sweet message and I relate a lot to the lyrics and themes from it.

Favorite Animal: DOGS

I have an unhealthy obsession with dogs. All shapes and sizes, breeds, coloring, I love them all! My husband can attest to that based on how many hours I’ve wasted watching cute animal videos, especially ones about dogs. If you begin sending them to me, I’ll happily return the favor. They’re my FAVORITE! Also, if any of you live in Utah and need a dog sitter, call me up!…kidding, but not really. I like dogs THAT much!

There’s a little about me and I’m sure it was more information than you were wanting. BUT, that’s me: the over-sharer.
