Here’s all the essentials in my beach bag that I can’t leave the house without!
I recently became an ambassador for Logan and Lenora and I can’t get enough of their waterproof bags! I’ve been a fan of theirs since they started and I love the bags I have from them. My most recent addition is their carryall which makes the perfect pool or beach bag since it’s completely waterproof. Water Bottle
I can never be outside for long without a water bottle. I like to fill a big one up for us to share while we are at the pool or the beach. This helps us to cool down and not get dehydrated so fast. This water bottle is my favorite since it’s double insulated and takes longer to get warm than a normal bottle.
Book/Kindle
There’s nothing better than lounging in the sun with a good book. I’m just finishing up some books from my Boss Babe Reading List and I can’t wait to find some other good ones. The Kindle Paperwhite is my favorite way to read since it’s super lightweight and I don’t have to worry about accidentally getting it damp. It’s not waterproof, but if they ever made one, I would be all over that!
Sunscreen
This is the most-needed thing in my beach bag. Taz has an aversion to the sun so he always slathers on the sunscreen. I need to be better at it, but we have a couple of favorite types. Taz uses this Neutrogena sunscreen because it works well with very sensitive skin, is light on the skin and has a high SPF. I use a lower SPF in spray form because I will always miss a spot if I use a cream sunscreen. I recently started using a different Neutrogena sunscreen and I was pleasantly surprised! It’s super moisturizing and soothes while protecting the skin.
Snacks
Snacks are a must in my beach bag. My favorite go-to snacks right now are salsa verde Paqui chips and birthday cake ONE bars. They are so delicious and are actually gluten-free!
Towel
A towel is a given, but you would be surprised how often I forget this. Taz and I usually bring a giant blanket so we can lay close to one another, but then we forget towels once we get in the water haha.
Waterproof Bag
This waterproof portfolio is from Logan and Lenora too. I love throwing one of these in my beach bag in case something gets super wet. I don’t usually change out of my swimsuit, but they can fit a swimsuit or a small towel. The entire bag is waterproof and leak proof so you don’t have to worry about it until you get home.
Baby Powder
I’m not sure there’s much sand at the pool, but the secret thing to keep in a beach bag is baby powder. This secret weapon gets ALLLLLL the sand off. Dust some on your legs and feet and the sand will fall off leaving your car sand-free!
Portable Speaker
I got this portable speaker for Taz at Christmas and it’s one of our favorite things. We use ours in our car, around the house and anytime we are near the water. It’s fun to jam out and enjoy our favorite songs while lounging in the sun.
Sunglasses
I’ve never received more compliments on a pair of sunglasses. This is my favorite pair and I love these! They go with everything and no one can tell if you are looking at them haha.
Coverup
I love finding coverups that work for the pool and also as a dress around town. My favorite ones right now are the baseball tee dress from SexyModest and this drawstring dress pictured. Both are super comfortable and look adorable no matter what is paired with them.
SPF Chapstick
The first part of my body to get sunburned is my lips so I always make sure to keep a chapstick with SPF in my beach bag. Sun Bum is my favorite one right now, but I have half a dozen different types so I’m never without it.
