10+ Of My Go-To Lipstick I Use All the Time

I use lipstick from $5 to $25 to fit many price ranges without sacrificing quality.

Out of any makeup products, I probably have 3-10 different lipstick in my purse at any given time. I wanted to share my favorite classic shades I reach for over and over again. I use one or more of these every single day. Any time I go to the store, I usually come home with another lip product to try out and these are just a few of the good ones. I’ve used some of these for years and others I found recently but fell for hard. Here’s some of my favorites:

Stila Stay all Day Liquid Lipstick

This lipstick was suggested to me by a dear friend of mine and I couldn’t be happier she did! It has a very creamy formula that dries matte and stays without dehydrating my lips. I wear the color Patina but I’m hoping to get try out a couple other colors soon.

Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink

Another friend suggested this lipstick to me and you guys, it’s a TOTAL game changer! It’s a matte finish lasts for hours and stays EVEN when I’m eating. It can be a little drying so make sure to use a lip balm before applying. I love the colors Lover and Seductress!

ColourPop Ultra Blotted Lip

I think this lipstick blows a lot of the other formulas out of the water for a fraction of the cost. This goes on like a lipstick and dries like a lip stain and lasts all day. It’s more of a subtle pigment, but can be layered easily. Doozy, Double Scoop and Zuma are my go-to lipstick shades.

ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip

This lipstick is really similar to the Ultra Blotted Lip except this one is more pigmented than the other. Two of the best shades are Mama and Screenshot, but I have a ton others I use every once in a while too.

Too Faced Melted Chocolate Long-Wear Lipstick

This is a really subtle lipstick that actually smells and tastes like chocolate. Chocolate Milkshake is the perfect nude color and I wear it all the time.

Tarteist Lip Paint

This lipstick is also super creamy and the colors are stunning! My favorite is Festival, but sadly it’s sold out. The shade TBT is super similar.

Urban Decay Beached Vice Lipstick

I love all the Urban Decay Beached products. It’s one of my favorite eyeshadow palettes and I fell head over heels for the lipstick. Heatwave has a shimmer in it so it looks metallic on the lips and is the prettiest burgundy shade. I do need to reapply it, but it never dries out my lips.

Urban Decay Born to Run Vice Lipstick

I usually don’t go for purple, but this gorgeous mauve lipstick is one a reach for over and over again. It’s the same formula as the one I just mentioned. Get the color 66 and test it out!

Milani Amore Matte Lip Creme

I know I’ve talked about this lipstick before here, but it’s too good not to mention! It dries beautifully and makes my lips feel super soft. I LOVE the color Adorable since it’s the perfect nude color and goes with everything.

NARS Lip Balm

I know these next couple products aren’t lipsticks, but I wear them all the time. I use this lip balm everyday under lipstick and just by itself since it gives a light flushed pink color. It’s like my lips but better!

eos Crystal Lip Balm Sphere

I’ve used eos lip balm for years and this is my favorite scent: hibiscus peach! There’s no pigment at all and doesn’t leave my lips feeling sticky at all.

Buxom Full-On Plumping Lip Cream

This plumping lip gloss leaves my lips feeling super tingly and looking very full. It isn’t sticky which is an added bonus. I love wearing the color Dolly.

Fenty Universal Lip Gloss

This may be my favorite lip gloss out of the bunch. I didn’t understand the hype behind Fenty until I tried this lip gloss. The color is supposedly universally flattering and it 100% is. It isn’t sticky, has beautful flecks of shimmer and honestly tastes amazing. It’s a little on the pricer side of lip products, but it’s totally worth it.

My Natural Makeup Routine for a Simple, Everyday Look

Putting on makeup doesn’t need to take a long time or money.

Over the past few months, I realized I’m taking A LOT of time to get ready in the morning. I would much prefer to make myself a good breakfast or spend some time with Taz before work. I found some awesome products that add some color to my face. Do you know what the best part is? Almost everything is at drugstore pricing AND it takes only five minutes for me to complete the look. Here’s what I do:

Moisturizer + Highlighting Drops

I know I’ve talked about this moisturizer before, but it is my favorite! I’ve been using this as a primer instead of my typical primer since my skin has been so dry. I’m not sure if you follow many beauty bloggers, but a lot of them recommend the Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops. In my opinion, they are way too much money. One of them suggested a dupe for them: the Makeup Revolution Liquid Highlighter I’ve gone into Ulta and they are identical! The difference in pricing is over $30 so you’re welcome! I mix a drop with a pump of moisturizer and put it on and let it sit for a second.

CC Cream

I found this incredible CC Cream! The Eborian CC Cream comes out white, but as you blend the product into the skin, it turns into your skin color. It’s MAGIC! A little goes a long way so I put a little bit on the tips of my fingers, warm it up between my hands and then apply it to my face.

Brows

My eyebrows are basically non-existant since they are so blonde. I found the Maybelline Brow Tattoo which helps soldify their shape and provides more color to make them stand out. It’s waterproof too so I don’t have brown streaks down my face throughout the day.

Concealer

I can never go a day without concealer (my dark circles are here to stay haha.) I love a bright, fresh face and when The Beyouty Bureau recommended the Skin Food Concealer, I knew I needed to give it a try. Everything she recommends is GOLD! This concealer works for majority of skin types to cancel out dark circles and even out the face. If you get anything for your natural makeup routine, get this! I apply this in a triangle from the tip of my nose to the inner corners of my eyes and the outer v of my eyes. I voted for no eyeshadow for this look and applied the rest of the leftover concealer to my eyelids to balance out my coloring.

Bronzer

The best bronzer on the market is the Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer! Everyone needs this in their natural makeup routine. No joke I’m obsessed and it smells INCREDIBLE! I’ve had my compact for two years and I’m no where near running out. I put this bronzer in the hollows of my cheeks to add definition and color to my face all year long. I also put some in the crease of my eyelids to add dimension to my eyes.

Blush

There’s so many different gorgeous blushes! My favorites right now are the CoverGirl TruBlend Blush and the Milani Baked Blush. The first is more pink and the other is more orange. I trade off using these to add some different coloring to my cheeks.

Highlighter

The Wet N Wild MegaGlo Highlighting Powder is the best drugstore highlighter. I’ve talked about it before, but I’m obsessed with the color selection and it’s highly pigmented. It looks stunning on the skin too. I apply a little on the brow bone, on the high points of my cheeks, the tip of my nose and the cupid’s bow.

Mascara

I’ve seen a ton of people talking about this mascara so I knew I needed to try it. The L’Oreal Double Extend Lengthening Mascara is one of the only mascaras I’ve ever tried that doesn’t fall beneath my eyes. It comes off so easy with makeup remover and looks gorgeous all day long.

That’s it! That’s my simple natural makeup routine. This whole process takes minutes to accomplish for fresh, glowy skin all day long. Ipsy Glam Bag March 2018 Unboxing + Review

This is my very first Ipsy Glam Bag and it’s a good one!

I owe my sister-in-laws for getting me more into makeup than I ever was before! They mentioned Ipsy, Birchbox and a few other subscription services out there, but I’ve never been interested until now. Why wouldn’t I want to try high-end makeup for only $10 a month plus I get an adorable makeup bag with each one. I put their suggestions to the test and ordered my first Ipsy glam bag. Here’s what was inside:

Glossier Balm Dotcom in Mint
INT Cosmetics Eyeshadow in Goddess Gold
Dirty Little Secret Cosmetics Baked Highlighter in Prosecco
Tarte Cosmetics Sex Kitten Eyeliner
Beaute Basics C405 Contour Blush Brush

Overall, I am pleased with what I got. I knew they would be in sample sizing, but I still didn’t anticipate how truly small they would be. My favorites of the bunch are the Glossier Balm Dotcom and the Tarte Cosmetics eyeliner. I was looking for a good lip balm and I love how moisturizing this one was. The eyeliner was a pleasant surprise since I don’t usually like anything other than liquid but I loved the consistency of it.

The other products were okay and I will keep using most of them, but I don’t know if I would buy them again. The highlighter was more like a blush on my fair skin and the eyeshadow was far too dark. I think this was definitely worth the $10, but I think I need to update my preferences for my Ipsy glam bag to see if that will change the variation I will get next month.

I recently got into makeup more than I have before and I will admit: I’m a TOTAL lipstick junkie! I’ve tried dozens of different kinds throughout the years. Some work incredibly and others fell flat. Since Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, I thought I would share my favorites for you to try out during the month of love. They’re perfect for Valentine’s Day and every other day of the year! I found the top 5 best lipsticks for any skin tone that you will fall in love with.

L’Oreal Infallible Lip Paints

I had a dear friend of mine suggest the L’Oreal Infallible Lip Paints to me and I’m so glad she did! They’re super affordable and come in a ton of gorgeous colors. I came across the Metallics line of these too and Moon Lust is now in my purse at all times! It’s a really flattering rose gold that make my lips POP! I love wearing it with neutral eye makeup to make sure it truly stands out.

Stila Stay All Day Lipstick

I had another good friend of mine suggest testing out this lipstick. Let me tell you, this stuff really does stay all day! It has a creamy texture and isn’t drying unlike other matte lipsticks I’ve tried in the past. This one of the best lipsticks I’ve ever used and the color Patina is to DIE for!

BareMinerals Gen Nude Lipgloss

I’m usually not a lipgloss girl and I know this technically isn’t a lipstick, but here me out! This lipgloss comes in tons of different colored nudes that make it easy to match to any skin tone. I love using mine with darker eye makeup or swiped on top of another lip color. My lips are constantly dry but this helps a TON with providing the moisture I need.

Tarte Creamy Matte Lip Paint

This is another must-have lip product for me! I think out of all of the best lipsticks, I wear this one the most. It’s similar to the Stila lipstick, but it’s a little bit more matte. I’m obsessed with the texture and love the color Birthday Suit the most.
