Cute, classic pieces that won’t break the bank!
When I did a Q&A on Instagram a few weeks ago, someone asked me where I get a lot of my clothing. A few other people asked the same thing so I thought I would put together a reference of some of my favorite modest clothing boutiques. When a lot of people hear “modesty,” sometimes their thoughts turn to “frumpy.” The places I shop are not only modest, but also have classic and trendy pieces to spice up any wardrobe. I’ve never felt less than beautiful when I’ve worn anything from these places and I hope you check them out. A lot of them are local for me, but all my go-to modest fashion pieces are from these stores.
My Sister’s Closet
My Sister’s Closet is 100% my favorite store! They are the nicest and have the cutest stuff. I find that if other boutiques in the area have something I want, I will go to them first because it’s usually less expensive. They always have free shipping and incredible customer service. Poppy and Dot
Poppy and Dot has similar clothing, but it has original pieces too that you cannot find anywhere else. You can either order online or comment on their Instagram pictures with the correct info to be sent an invoice. It’s really easy and fast to get the modest clothing you want. Amazon
Surprisingly, Amazon has more modest clothing than you would think. The trick is to know what to look for. I usually type in something like “midi dress” or “one piece bathing suit.” Then, I can filter necklines, dress length, and other things on the side bar. Right now, I am obsessed with swimsuit. I’ll post a few of those and some other things I love below.
Target
Target is king for having quality modest clothing. I’m obsessed with the new Universal Threads line. I’m pretty sure I will probably end up with everything on that list. Here’s some of my favorites: (tie up top, canteen purse, hoops, sandals)
Journey Five
Journey Five is the place I got my coveted pineapple dress! I ordered their new tropical print midi dress and I can’t wait to get it in the mail. A lot of their pieces also end up on Groopdealz so keep your eyes peeled!
Mindy Mae’s Market
Last but not least, Mindy Mae’s Market is a must. Everything they have is adorable and super high quality. Their dresses and hoodies are my absolute favorites!
