How I found him, behaviors, coloring, personality and more!
My puppy is 5 months old! I can hardly believe it! We love little Panda and he is an incredible addition to our home. Panda is a Tri-Colored Miniature Australian Shepherd puppy with very unique markings. We got him in October 2019 and fell in love with him the moment we met him. I’m obsessed with everything for dogs and I believe they are definitely a member of the family so I teamed up with Friendship Collar today to share a little 5 month update with you.
How I Found Our Puppy
I searched for months in local shelters and through different local websites. There were a lot of large dogs and I knew we wanted a smaller one. I had a couple breeds in mind and I thought I would know which dog was mine from the minute I saw them. For weeks, I scrolled through photos and nothing really caught my eye since some descriptions mentioned they hated men or kids and I knew I wanted Taz and I to be comfortable bring this animal into our home for our future family. I looked on PuppyFinder for Australian Shepherd puppies since my cousin had one and from my research, I knew they were good dogs. As soon as I saw Panda’s picture, I thought he was the cutest puppy I’ve ever seen! We drove down to Sarasota to meet the Miniature Australian Shepherd breeder and fell in love with him!
Meet Panda!
To know him is to love him! He is OBSESSED with people and that’s probably the understatement of the century. When he meets someone new, he gets so excited! Panda is super social, sweet, smart and cuddly (sometimes). He will eat anything in front of him, loves to shred paper and gathers garbage into one spot in our apartment every single day. He’s a curious little guy and will follow you around like a shadow. Panda loves people more than other dogs but he is always down for a puppy play date.
5 Month Update
Little Panda is not so little anymore! He’s almost triple his original weight when we got him and he’s still the sweetest boy. Panda LOVES to shred paper and cardboard. You can usually find him carrying our mail inside and then tearing up the junk mail in his favorite spot in our living room. He’s doing a great job of being crate trained and rarely has any accidents inside the house. He’s afraid of some squeaky toys which we found out during Christmas and loves to chew on antlers. One thing he did this month was chew through the cord to our light stand (welp.) but thankfully it wasn’t a big deal. The best thing about Panda right now is that he’s become our little bestie on car rides, dates, and every day life. He’s really become a member of our little family.
I got this Friendship Collar set so I could feel close to him while I’m away. (Yes, I’m THAT dog mom!) I feel guilty to be away from him all day even though Taz is home with him 24/7. I thought this matching set was the perfect way I could be a part of his day even though I’m at work. I love it and it makes the perfect gift for you or your dog loving friends!
