Self-confidence is one of the most important aspects of blogging.
I received the opportunity to get together with 20 blogger babes for brunch at Lemon and Sage in Springville! I worried all morning long about what to wear and how my hair wasn’t curling the way I wanted which led to my self-confidence falling. A girl mentioned to me before I went if I was worried about meeting my “competition” and I had never thought about it that way. It made me 100000x more nervous… Little did I know I had literally nothing to worry about.
Lemon and Sage
As soon as I arrived at Lemon and Sage, the rest of the event was perfect! It is seriously one of the most stunning venues! Cascading flowers, beautiful food, and gorgeous women were everywhere you turned. I became overwhelmed as soon as I walked in but my fear soon went away because these girls made me feel like we were best friends for years! I associated with many of them on Instagram in the past, but I was overjoyed to finally meet them in person.
Mille Fleur Design
They created a handful of floral arrangements to brighten up the room even though it couldn’t have been more beautiful. The Copper Cauldron and Creme Ice cream provided the food and treats. We also had the wonderful Melea Nelson as the host and photographer to provide all the pictures for this event.
The Copper Cauldron
They provided some of the best food I have ever tasted: maple bacon french toast, Tahitian vanilla whipped cream and the the most INCREDIBLE baked brie! (I stayed after to find out how she made it. It was AMAZING!)
Creme Ice Cream
They make all organic ice cream and then freezes it using liquid nitrogen. Their main flavors include strawberry balsamic, chocolate cherry, and lemon cookie. They were all insanely good but I think the lemon cookie was my favorite.
Bloggers
The sweetest part of the day was being able to talk to all the bloggers there. Even though I was one of them, it was reassuring to see that they are real people too. I have always struggled with being confident in blogging and I eventually fall to comparing myself to others. I even felt embarrassed admitting I started a blog. My personality is totally an extroverted introvert. I love talking to people, but I can only recharge when I am by myself. Self-confidence in crucial to building a brand and I had never felt smaller before going to brunch. These girls helped me open up and with every minute, I felt strengthened in what I was doing. I no longer felt embarrassed or felt the need to compare. Even though we are all on different levels, I realized there is enough love and support to go around. I won’t write blog posts just to post, but I will write about what empowers me, what I’m passionate about, what I genuinely love. I am so blessed to be invited to the blogging brunch and to have met so many amazing women. Hopefully, another one will happen soon!
