These are my favorite summer essentials and accessories this year!
I found the best accessories this season! There’s everything from my head to my toes. I definitely think these styles are going to be around for a while so I wanted to write a blog post talking about all my go-to summer essentials that I can’t live without!
Hair Scarves
This is the biggest one of the summer essentials this season! Hair scarves are everywhere and I LOVE them! I’m still learning how to wear them, but I love these hair ties from Simple and Blush. I tie them as a headband, around a bun, weaved into a braid, but my favorite way is down around a ponytail.
Straw bags
I’m sure you’ve seen these ALLLLLL over the internet! This is for good reason, because they’re so freaking adorable. Unfortunately, they can get expensive, but I found some cheaper options on Amazon. I style mine with everything from jeans to dresses. It helps me bring more beachy vibes to Utah. (crossbody (similar), tote (similar), bamboo bag)
Pool Tote
This pool tote from Logan and Lenora is life changing! The entire thing is waterproof and easy to clean. I went more in depth with what I bring with me to the pool in a previous post, but this goes with everything. I got tons of other smaller ones to put wet swimsuits or makeup in too. Hats
I’m not the best person to go to for hats, but I wish I was haha. I’m dying over the new straw hats I’ve seen all over Instagram. The best ones I’ve been able to find are on Amazon for a steal! Also, I love baseball caps. I have a few with sayings or that are plain. If there’s any other hats you love in the summertime, let me know because I would love more ideas!
Sunnies
Everytime I wear these sunglasses, people stop me and ask where they’re from. I love how large and unique they are. I switch between these and a more subtle black pair. Sunglasses can definitely make or break an outfit, but they are so needed in the summer.
Simple Gold Jewelry
I’m all about gold jewelry! It compliments a tan and goes with everything. My favorite pieces are from Charming Charlie and I mentioned them before on my Instagram. I’m allergic to 99% of jewelry, but none of their pieces irritate my skin at all. I found a couple similar pieces here and I love them!
Backpack
This backpack changed my life. I was dying for a leather backpack that was big enough to hold everything I have, including a laptop sleeve. I finally found one that fit all of these requirements from Parker Design Co. It has padded straps that work really well with traveling. In a couple of days, we are headed out on a trip and I can’t wait to finally test it out long term. It’s holds A LOT so I’m super excited to see it in action!
Clutches
This is a newer addition to my summer essentials. I usually gravitate towards clutches with removable straps so I have the option to make it a crossbody or a clutch. I have some with fun pops of colors and patterns that add my own touch to each outfit.
Statement Earrings
I mentioned before that I have a hard time with irritation from metals, but I love statement earrings. Target’s new Universal Thread line has my all-time favorite earrings! They’re super modern, but don’t hurt my ears like other ones I’ve had before. I definitely go for more gold than silver jewelry, but I found adorable hoops that has gold, silver and rose gold on it! I only wear earrings from this new line now.
Sandals
I’ll be honest, I hate shoes. I wish I could be barefoot at all times haha. Sandals are my go-to shoes as you can see in all of my Instagram pictures. I’m loving slides, because they’re sooooo comfy! My favorite pair are two toned, but these are some others that are on my wishlist. (here and here)
