Here’s some of my go-to fashion accessories I use to make each outfit my own.
Summer is FINALLY here and I’m so ready! Everyone’s done with school for the next few months and I have a lot planned: beach days, photoshoots, a giris’ trip to Utah and Jonas Brothers tickets! To say I’m excited is an understatement. Summer is also my favorite time of year to try out new trends and step out of my comfort zone. I’m playing around with different accessories lately and I’m LOVING the looks that come out of it. I wanted to share with you some of my go-to summer fashion accessories to dress up your looks and make them your own. Everyone has a unique personality so why not show it off? Here’s some ideas I have, but the options are endless!
Hair Scarves
You know it wouldn’t be me without including hair scarves into the mix. This is one of my favorite summer fashion accessories this year because it dresses up any hairstyle even if you barely spent any time on it at all. I get mine from smaller shops and Amazon. Barrettes
Are you a fan of the barrette trend? I didn’t think I would but I’m surprised at how much they remind me of childhood. Barrettes are HUGE right now and my 90’s heart is SO happy! I’m still debating on which ones to get because I can’t decide which ones I like the most. Do you like the pearl, the resin, or both?
Jewelry
I have a hard time finding jewelry that is high quality (aka doesn’t turn me green), and nickel free for an affordable price. I don’t usually think it’s that hard until I try looking for something. Right now I love delicate gold jewelry, rattan pieces and tortoise shell earrings, but you can easily trade those out for bold colors, different metals and more.
Bags
This is where I get the most excited! I love all types of bags as fashion accessories. Right now, I love finding summery totes, crossbody bags, rattan bags, and belt bags (aka fanny packs.) Bags are an essential part to any outfit because women’s clothing rarely has pockets and they’re so cute! All of these options are very affordable so pick a couple you like or stick with one because most of these are classic fashion accessories for any summer outfit.
Belts
I’m starting to get into belts more and I’m very excited about it. Once upon a time, I owned a belt in every color under the sun because no low rise jean would stay up without one. Now that high waisted pants are back, I haven’t used them much until now. Wear these with skirts, dresses, jeans, and more! The options are endless!
Sunglasses
I can never forget sunglasses! I would say these are the most necessary summer fashion accessories. Since the sun is so bright, it can be so damaging to your eyes. These sunglasses SAVE me during those hot sunny days. I rarely leave the house without them now that I live in the Sunshine State. If you’re looking for a good pair of sunglasses, these are very high quality and affordable options.
