Wife + Best Friend = Marriage
In honor of National Best Friend’s Day, I wanted to write a blog post about being a wife and best friend to Taz. Plus, this top from Hadley and Me Boutique was my inspiration to brag about Taz for a minute, (As if I don’t do that already haha) I love the floral details on the sleeves and how soft the fabric feels! I am so happy with how adorable it is.
There are multiple posts about the top 10 reasons to stay single or to ditch your boyfriend. However, I have never seen a list of the best parts of being married so I wanted to share mine. Obviously, there is more than only ten reasons, but I wanted to limit how sappy I was today. We got married a little over a year ago and I love life with him, I made a list of my top 10 reasons why I love being a wife.
I have someone to talk to and be myself with:
It’s not like we didn’t talk before we were married but we can talk about anything and I mean ANYTHING! It’s fun to be able to finally make plans together for our future. I understand that it is hard to let loose and be yourself at first, but it is getting easier and easier by the day.
I have a permanent adventure buddy:
Taz is always willing to go on adventures with me whether that be to go take pictures downtown, eat at new restaurants or just explore places we have never been before. He’s very observant so it is fun to see the world through his point of view.
And…a Netflix binge watcher:
Some days call for sweatpants, a king size blanket and a good Netflix (or Amazon Prime) series. We take show watching very seriously and have finished multiple series already. We do have some shows we watch separately though since Taz is home working the majority of the day. Lately, we are watching Catfish on Amazon and we are HOOKED! (No pun intended).
I can share my obsession of Chick-fil-A:
I could eat this for breakfast, lunch, and dinner everyday! I’m glad Taz likes it just as much as me.
There will always be ice cream in the freezer:
This is an unspoken rule that has been fulfilled since the very beginning. We just LOVE our milkshakes!
I live with my business partner:
I haven’t opened an “official” business yet, but Taz is always there to help with my blog. He is my photographer, web developer and everything in between. I just smile and write the content. We work really hard and he deserves a lot of credit for the success from this.
I have someone who has similar views and respects my differences:
We don’t always see eye to eye but we agree on the things that truly matter. I’ve never gotten along with someone so well in my life until we reconnected. It’s good to like the same things but a marriage would get boring if there were no differences.
I always know my day is going to end in a fit of giggles:
Taz always knows how to make a situation better. Sometimes, I am in a bad mood, but he can always put a smile on my face. I’ve never met a more positive person and that definitely helps me!
I have a standing date:
Like I said before, Taz is always down to try new things and meet new people. We love going on doubles, but sometimes we enjoy a date night in which are some of my favorites.
I will always get the kiss goodnight:
Even if our day doesn’t go as planned, we will always kiss goodnight because at the end of the day, our relationship is all that truly matters.
